Image to Word: Touch the image that correctly matches the word

Word to Image: Touch the word that correctly matches the image.

Quiz: Select the correct multiple-choice answer that matches the word.

Word to Image Match: Match four pairs of words to their corresponding pictures.

Word To Word: Match four pairs of words.

Word Find: Touch and select the correct word hidden in a table of letters

Sentence Scramble: Arrange sentence fragments using correct word order.

Word Spell: Select the edit window to type the correct spelling of the hint provided.

Flash Cards: Swipe through cards to test your knowledge of subject. Tap the card to reveal answer.

Important Features

Play: Select this mode to play a randomized selection of timed games. As you progress the difficulty level will increase or decrease depending on your proficiency.

Practice: Select this mode to play a randomized selection of untimed games.

Dictionary: Browse the dictionary and add new terms, including images, photos, drawings, definitions, phonics and translations, also listen and record audio clips. Evaluate your card deck to determine what your deck needs to be compatible with more games.

Decks: Add dozens of decks from quizlet or create your own. Search Quizlet.com for image based decks to get the most out of FlashCards+.

Scores: As you play the games and earn points, you can track your progress as you gain knowledge

Game configuration

Timer game: Select 45 second, 60 second or 2 minute game length.

5 chance game: This mode limits you to 5 mistakes or chances. Each incorrect selection results in a loss of 1 chance.

Scramble: This mode adds the additional challenge of words or images being scrambled on the screen. Drag images around to select the correct option.

Movement: In this mode images and words will float around the screen. Drag to move items and select the correct option.

Get 20: Race against the clock to correctly select 20 answers.

Audio only: The audio plays initially; select the correct match for the audio. Press on “Play hint” to play the audio clip again.

Pics/Words/Both: For games with Images, you can choose to show only images, words on top of a solid placard, or both images & words.

Side1/Side2: Select if you want the keyword to show Side1 or Side2 of the card.

Show/Fade/None: Adjusts how hints are provided. On top of image, faded in slowly on top of the image, or not at all.

Player Options: change the level of play.

Wow!!! What a fun way to learn!

I’ve tried all the other Flashcard apps, & this one is by far the most extensive, interactive and entertaining.
The visual interactive elements alone set it apart, I have so many more ways now to learn a subject…
The different games keep me engaged in the material, and the easy to use card creation tools makes it fun to create new sets, with access to flickr photo feeds, & google translation tools, I added dozens of new words to my study set in no time.
I also like the way I can browse Quizlet for sets with images.
The drawing feature, where I can immediately draw on a flashcard, is super handy too. I used it on my Japanese study set.
This is a deep app, & I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. The “phonic” function for instance with my Japanese was very useful for seeing the pronunciation of the Japanese in english. Also if I managed to record audio for all of my study set, then “audio only” games were unlocked in the advanced levels, which helped me stay immersed in thinking in Japanese.
